Grading is a big part of what Spring Creek Builds does, and we do a lot of it. We grade building sites for new homes and build driveways so the property is accessible, drains properly, and is ready for the next stage of the project.
Grading a Building Site
Grading shapes the ground so a site works: a level pad for the foundation, slope that moves water away from the house, and finished surfaces ready for what is next. On a new home, grading ties into the excavation, backfill, and utilities. We do the grading as part of the same site work, so the pieces fit together.
Driveways
If the homeowner wants one, we build the driveway for the new home. On a build in the country, a driveway also gives the other contractors access to the site, so it is often one of the first things to settle. We build driveways as part of a new home project, and we talk with the owner about what they want.
Prep for Concrete, Patios, and Parking
Many properties need more than a house pad. Patios, garages, and parking areas all start with ground that is prepped correctly. We prep the area for concrete or landscaping crews so the next trade starts with a good base.
Grading Alongside the Rest of the Site Work
Because we handle the excavation and the utilities, we can plan the grading around where the foundation, the septic system, the lines, and the driveway need to go. That can avoid conflicts that happen when each trade works on its own. See our new construction excavation and foundation site prep pages for more.
Before We Dig
Idaho law asks excavators to contact Idaho's one-call center by calling 811 at least two business days before digging, so underground utilities get marked first. Tell us about the property and what you want done, and we will talk through the plan.
